San Francisco, CA. December 23, 2010 – Dr Alexander Rabinovich recently returned from Russia where he has been performing re-constructive surgery to children in need—a service he donates as a representative of FACE TO FACE, the humanitarian arm of the Educational and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS Foundation).

A specialist in facial re-constructive surgery and facial plastic surgery, Dr. Rabinovich regularly travels abroad to perform pro bono surgeries on children and train surgeons who will continue the work after his return to San Francisco. HIs expertise in face lifts, neck lifts, and eyelid lifts makes him well-qualified to perform reconstructive surgeries as a representative of FACE TO FACE.

Children are uniquely affected by the lack of quality medical care in Russia. Youngsters living with deformities are also the victims of social and psychological stresses that sometimes include parental abandonment. Helping these children, one face at a time, is the goal of these philanthropic missions. Recently, members of the FACE TO FACE delegation performed reconstructive surgery on a Russian two-year-old with congenital facial deformity who was abandoned by her parents at birth.

Dr. Rabinovich is grateful for the opportunity to help these children regain a normal life and looks forward to returning to Russia in Late Fall of 2011.
